Chambres du Manoir du Mesnil

The estate extends over 40 hectares; you will find walks and places immediately accessible from the Manor House or the farm. The Manor House hides under a very classical construction made of granite from the region a progressive construction that goes from the Middle Ages to the 19th century. The more recent construction of the outbuildings located behind the Manor brings a touch of cheerfulness by mixing brick and stone. In the extension of the manor house the high mud walls, called “chartreuse”, have recently been replanted with vegetables and fruit trees. The tennis court is a “quick”, placed in an old stone quarry and protected from the wind, on which you can play as much as you like.

History of the family

Le Mesnil is the birthplace of the Brohon family, of bourgeois origin but nobly established in the country from the 15th century (the proven marriage of one of its members dates back to 1450). Le Mesnil is today the property of Aude Lescaudey de Maneville (granddaughter of Guillaume de Maneville, descendant of the Brohons), and Antoine Brugidou.

Boxes and mare’s milk products

In one of the entrance pavilions of the manor house, old stalls have been converted into 2 boxes. You can come with your horses or ponies and take advantage of the 2 sand quarries of the “Ecuries du Mesnil”, the paths of the estate or go with your van for a walk on the large sandy beaches nearby.

With the milk of the mares bred on the estate; entirely organic cosmetic products based on this milk are made on site by the breeder.
